Some Fab Pics!

My gracious Aunt Erin sent me some pictures of my beautiful self to share with others. Enjoy~

This is me in my cousin Kathryn's bouncy seat. I was pretending to be a small baby.

This is a basic representation of my everyday self. Unfortunately, I have outgrown this cute little shirt already.
Here we are "watching" the Steelers kick some butt in Super Bowl 43. OR as I like to call it Super Bowl Polamalu. I'm with my cousins Kathryn and Tess and sitting on my Uncle/Godfather Patrick's lap.

FUN TIMES!

February 12, 2009

I went in the potty & I'm going to be a big sister!

Over the past few months, during the fall and winter, I have grown from a youthful 18 months to a full fledged 2 years!

Since I've talked to you last, I've visited the Pittsburgh Zoo several times and learned to growl like a lion. I've gone trick or treating, gorged myself at Thanksgiving, elatedly tore open my Christmas presents and celebrated my birthday with my very own cupcake.

What's next on the horizon for such a busy little girl? Potty Training. Yes, I peed on the big kid potty today for the very first time. I got to walk around without pants on for an hour afterward in case I had to go again. My mommy and daddy are very proud.

I even asked for privacy when they kept checking on me. I said "Go Daddy! Go Mommy!" and waved them away. I could see them peeking through the bathroom door. Pervs!

I don't really know what my parents keep talking about, but they keep pointing to my mom's stomach and saying "baby." I don't think they are sleeping enough! They keep saying I'm going to get a little brother and I just nod and smile as if nothing is wrong. My mom looks like she needs to go on a diet though. It looks like she swallowed a basketball!

This is the only recent picture I can find as of this afternoon. My mom's camera ran out of batteries and she doesn't care enough to deal with it.

Tsk. Tsk.

The unthinkable has occurred

Some crack head called me "Charlotte Indiglo" and was serious. My mother had to inform her that indiglo is a component of timex glow in the dark watches, not someone's name.

I mean, seriously, Indigo is weird enough. Do we have to take it farther?

RIP Peaches Marie Hagan Double Jr.

I am sorry to inform you that my mother's friend died in her sleep over the weekend. Peachy was an intensely loyal and loving dog. Peach was 9.5 years old.

My mother got her around memorial day weekend of 1999. Peach came from a rough neighborhood. When the guy who was going to sell Peach to my mom screeched his tires while pulling his van into the parking lot where they met, my mother knew that her life was about to change.

Scared, skinny and dirty, Peach was retrieved from a crate in the back of a van. My mother thought for an instant she may be kidnapped, so she was apprehensive to fully enjoy the moment when she got her first pup! When they got in the car it was love at first site, for both of them.

During the first few weeks of their relationship, my mother would bathe the flea-ridden puppy Peach and brush her everyday. From then on, Peach loved being brushed all the time. If she ran away, my mother could make her come back by showing her the brush.

Peach was a timid creature, attaching herself to my mothers leg everywhere they went. Peach knew my mother would love and protect her forever.

During her lifetime, Peach bravely fought off black bears, hunted chipmunks, rabbits, and most amusingly, caught squirrels in mid air while they were trying to run away from her. She was a great squirrel dog!

For the past five years, Peach lived in the country side, walking the fields and swimming in ponds. Her best fried Snoop came to live with us the two years and they loved each other.

My mother will always miss when Peach would curl around my mother's feet at night or push her nose under my mother's arm so she would hold her.

She was a very special dog. One that only comes once in a lifetime.

Bay-Bee

My first official word was uttered this evening. Bay-bee. That’s what I said, in reference to a picture of myself getting a bath in my Aunt Megan’s kitchen sink.

Can I get a witness?

Although I’ve been playing around with mama, dada, and my own rendition of “dog,” this was the first time everyone truly understood exactly what I was saying. And, everyone laughed – everyone being my mom, my dad, and my Aunt Megan. And, now it looks like everyone is opening a beer in celebration. They can’t get enough!! So, I just keep repeating it! Oh my, is talking fun!! I could do this all day. Just you wait everyone… full-on conversations are just months away! I’ll keep you updated. BAY-BEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

What up Peeps

My mother has been neglecting me and my web site! She went back to school so she could learn how to make my web site better and she was just too busy for me. Whatev! Here's some pics, thanks for the requests. I'm going to get on her about keeping my page updated from now on. The picture to the left is me at my 1st birthday party. I took a bath before hand and then used some of my aunt's weird herbal moisturizer (kool-aid) and it made my cheeks turn red.

You've missed a lot in the past few months. In October, my mother let me pull a table down on my head and she had to drive me to the hospital. At first, I was nervous about her driving in such a frazzled state, but my Rad Dad was in the back seat with me and he started passing out. He's a wuss!

Then my Aunt Erin and Uncle Patrick got married in November on my Pap-Pap's birthday. I stayed overnight at the DiGregory's house...it was the first time I ever slept over someone's house. I loved it! They have a dog, Hunter and we love each other and are BFF.

Let's see, let's see...what else...um, I tasted Hot Sauce at Thanksgiving. That was interesting! I got to stay a week at my cousin's house in January and they taught me how to walk up stairs! I try to sneak in a few stair exercises when my mother is not looking.

My favorite thing to do is tear everything off a shelf and then look over at my mom and laugh. She thinks it's really funny! I also like giving our puppy letter magnets and then my mom freaks out and yells at me. Something about intestinal blockage and magnets... I don't recall. But it's funny.
I also like to wear necklaces so anything I can wrap around my neck is fair game. I like to tear the tassels off my mother's drapes and walk around looking like the queen of sparty...or the Sparty Fair Princess.

Finally, this is my deep thought I'll leave with you today, in memoriam of my GG who died on February 18, 2008...If you can't figure out the asterisks, email my mom.

"If you're looking for sympathy, you can find it in the dictionary between S**T and syphilis."
and my mother's favorite GG quote:
"It's Five O'clock somewhere!"

Kim! My mom can't wait to have a beer with you when you venture back to the states. She misses you.

I got my scowl from my father...

On August 3, 2007 my cousin Kate married her true love, Kurt, in a beautiful church ceremony. They are now "Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Bradshaw". I'm soooo happy for them. They got me a great baby sitter so that my mother and father didn't have to drag me around the whole time like they usually do.
Pictured to the left is my father and I outside of the church. I love my ruffle socks!

My Baptism: I am now one with the earth.

On August 4, 2007, I officially became a child of the earth. I was baptized in a small creek along side a scenic highway in Maryland, near Bel Aire. It was truly a blessed event.

In attendance were my mother and father and my Aunt Megan, along with some of our small earthly friends the water spider, juvenile trout and a frog.

I felt a wave of enlightenment as my mother held my feet in the water. So much so that I started splashing around.
God bless us! Every one of us!

My GG's Birthday Party!

This was taken at my GG's birthday party in South Park. I can't believe my mom would dress me in something that makes me look like a boy. She even gave me my orange pacifier. I mean, honestly, I have a hard enough time as it is when I actually wear pink clothes to get people to not inquire about my sex! I can't wait until I have pig tails. And saddle shoes.
Anyway, my GG's birthday party was fabulous. All of my cousins and second cousins were there and a few suprise visitors that I didn't initially expect to attend. So, all in all, it was a great time. This was really the start to my summer.
